Creativity has drawn Clara Wallace to many different endeavors across her life, culminating quite serendipitously when she discovered digital scrapbooking while searching for ideas for her first baby album. Clara found digital scrapbooking was a perfect way to combine her love for graphic design with wanting to document family memories. She started her own digital scrapbooking website matterofscrap.com where she sells her well-known digital chick graphic caricatures and her own line of digital scrapbooking kits. She recently launched a new digital scrapbooking company called Curvy Line Creative.
Clara says, “I never cease to be amazed at the easiness of digital. From keeping my house neat to being able to make multiple copies of layouts or albums, the digital approach is just so simple for me to work with. I don’t have an extra room for hobbies and when I do scrapbook with paper, my house is a huge chaotic mess.”
Upbeat and optimistic, Clara loves to see the positive side of life. She tries to make good things happen for herself and others whenever she can. She finds it satisfying to help others learn new techniques and to make connections with people that cross her path.
“In the Chinese culture,” says Clara, “There is a legend about a Red Thread. The legend says an invisible red thread connects us to those we are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may tangle or stretch, but it will never break. I love the thought of that and know that I’ve met a lot of people through digital scrapbooking who are connected to me through that red thread.”
