review: mybook adaptable planner

I have been customizing my planners since my first FiloFax in college. When I switched to a Franklin planner, I was happy to be able to choose from floral papers or traditional blues and greens. I’ve since migrated to electronic planners, but the MyBook Adaptable Planner from Per Annum may send me back to paper and ink.
The MyBook Planner comes in 4x6 and 6x8 sizes. Not only does it contain standard weekly and monthly pages, it has full-page archival plastic pockets for each month and two to customize the front and back covers. The 6x8 also comes with 14 sheets of inkjet-compatible paper for a perfect fit with no trimming.
The 4x6 is perfect for slipping photos in for each month. I easily slid a photo of my daughter in on the month of her birthday. If you do 4x6 layouts, this is a perfect display for them. The pockets are clear on both sides, so there is room for 28 layouts including the front and back covers.
The 6x8 lets you create larger layouts. I created a visual overview of the month for each member of the family. I can slip a duplicate blank image into the pocket for the months ahead and slip it out to jot down appointments along the way.
Per Annum also makes MyBook Journals with lined pages instead of dated pages, along with a dozen plastic pockets. These books would be great gifts for a new mom to keep track of baby’s first year.
