Importing and Using Organizational Tags in Photoshop Elements

In the “Nitty Gritty of Organization” in Digital Scrapbooking magazine’s October/November 2008 issue, we show you how to get your photos, kits and digital elements organized in a flash. Here you’ll see how to put this process into practice step-by-step in Photoshop Elements.

Download our XML file of categories for organization here (ZIP format).

  1. Download the ZIP file. Then, open the ZIP folder after downloading and right-click the file link and click “Save As”. Download the file Digital Scrapbooking Magazine Keyword Tags.xml and save it to an easy-to-find location on your hard drive, such as the desktop.
  2. Launch Photoshop Elements Organizer. In the Keyword Tags palette, click the green cross icon and select From File.
  3. Browse to the downloaded file and click Open. A new top-level category called Digital Elements Tags, containing a complete set of organizational tags for your digital elements, will appear in the Keyword Tags palette.
